I hope you will find it more inviting, interactive and easy to navigate through, and that you will visit often. Many thanks are due to our friends at Sikich Graphic Design and Marketing for guiding us through the arduous process of building this site from the ground up, and to the Grand Victoria Foundation and the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation for the capacity building grants that made it possible. It’s beautiful, and I hope as you move through its pages you will feel the genuine love for nature that drives our work at The Conservation Foundation.
Every week or two we’ll posting a new blog entry, and most of the time it will probably be my ramblings that you will read. I’m Jill Johnson, and I’ll soon be starting my 12th year as an employee of The Conservation Foundation. For your sake, I hope other staff catch the blogging bug; I’m a “Jill” of all trades, master of none, but many of my coworkers are fascinating treasure troves of knowledge and I know you’d enjoy hearing from them.
If there is any particular topic or suggestion you have for this blog, feel free to throw it out there by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m glad you’ve stopped by to learn more about The Conservation Foundation and what you can do to help us save nature in your neighborhood. If you are not yet a member, we’d love to count you among the ranks of those who make it possible for our work to continue. Just click the membership tab to join our collective momentum and make life in northeastern Illinois more healthy and beautiful.
