To keep great regional stormwater management practices in the spotlight, The Conservation Foundation will be offering a Beyond the Basics experience every year. In the past we have offered a conference and field tour every other year, but in a constantly innovating industry, two years is a long time to wait if you're going to stay on the cutting edge.
Save the Date
Mark your calendars for the 2017 Beyond the Basics Field Tour on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017! We will meet in the morning, board a charter bus and tour some of the best examples of good stormwater management in the area together. We are offering two tour routes to choose from - The Big City route and the 'Burbs route. Both tours will depart and return to the same location, which is to be determined. We'll conclude our day of learning, lunching and networking with a reception at the last stop. After all, learning should be a pleasant experience!
Registration for the tour is $50 and includes transportation, a light breakfast, snacks, lunch and a cocktail and heavy hors d'oeuvres reception at tour's end. Registrants must choose between The Big City route and the 'Burbs route; each route will have five to six stops highlighting various technologies and scales in stormwater management.
Both tours begin at the same location, which is to be determined, with check in between 8am and 8:30am in preparation for an 8:30 or 8:45am departure. We'll enjoy snacks and lunch during our tours, and will be returning to our starting point around 4:30pm. All are invited to linger for a cocktail hour with heavy hors d'oeuvres from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
