Using a rain barrel to capture water for use around the yard is not only good for nature, it’s also good for your wallet! In this Build-A-Rain Barrel class on Saturday, May 18th, 9am to 10:30am, you will learn from experts at The Conservation Foundation about the benefits of using rain barrels, how to use them correctly, and then assemble your own 55 gal barrel to take home! All tools/ supplies will be provided. Please have a way to transport your barrel home.
Cost is $65/barrel for residents of the Frankfort Park District and $70/barrel for non-residents.
The fee is per barrel, so feel free to bring along family members to learn about rain barrels and the many benefits they provide.
This workshop will be held at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street, Frankfort.
