Native gardens conserve water, provide habitat for native wildlife, and bring joy and color to our daily lives. Join us on Saturday, June 22nd, 9am to Noon, for your chance to see beautiful native plant and rain gardens throughout Glen Ellyn. To start the day, there will be a brief presentation about the benefits of rain gardens, native plants and creating a sustainable yard at Maryknoll Park Clubhouse (845 Pershing Ave.).You will also find out how you can become a Conservation@Home-certified site through The Conservation Foundation's Conservation@Home program. Then we will enjoy a tour the beautiful native gardens at the park. From there, you will be given a map for a self-guided tour of local residences with rain gardens and native plant gardens.
