The Conservation Foundation relies on the support of our membership to help meet the environmental challenges ahead.

Our annual budget is mostly supported by memberships and donations. As a private, not-for-profit charitable organization, we receive no dedicated tax revenues. All donations and contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Support Conservation Through Membership

The Conservation Foundation invites you to join its more than 5,000 members and donors who help safeguard and steward our natural environment in and around our region. Through monetary support and/or volunteering for one of the projects, you will help preserve open space and natural habitats, clean up our rivers and streams, improve citizen access to public lands, expand environmental education and restore polluted and degraded ecosystems.

Besides being a member of one of the region's oldest and largest conservation groups, and helping to support the conservation work we do, there are benefits that come back to each member.

As A Member:

• Each member receives our quarterly magazine, The Heron, spotlighting the many special events, volunteer opportunities and land conservation preservation victories of The Conservation Foundation.
• Each member receives special invitations to attend luncheons, benefit dinners, lectures, member picnics, field trips and educational activities throughout the year at discounted rates. Timely topics on the environment, trends in conservation and other topics of interest are presented by local, regional and national leaders. These activities help keep the membership informed on important issues. Members get advanced registration for these activities and a discount.
• Members meet other people with similar interests and concerns, and can participate on committees and volunteer projects centered around specific issues.
• Members get advance notice on important environmental issues in their communities. If they then choose to get involved in these issues, they can rely on accurate information from The Conservation Foundation.
