Chere joined The Conservation Foundation in 2002 as its first Director of Advancement. She has worked for not-for-profits for the past thirty years. After spending a large portion of her career raising money for the homeless and people with HIV/AIDS, she was excited for the opportunity to work with donors to preserve and protect the natural areas in Illinois.
Chere holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University. She is an avid runner and spends much of her time outdoors in her garden. Chere has 2 grown children, three grandsons and lives with her husband Doug in Naperville.
