Dan Lobbes

Dan is the Director of Land Protection and Kane County Director for The Conservation Foundation. He has been with the Foundation in a variety of capacities since 2001. Dan has worked closely with public agencies and private landowners to preserve more than 3,500 acres of land, worth more than $87 million. Dan and others on staff use a variety of tools to protect land.

Prior to coming to The Conservation Foundation, Dan was the project manager of a new product development group. He spent 15 years with a global manufacturer, bringing projects in on time and on budget.

Dan lives in Batavia with his wife Mary and has two college-age sons, Grant and Ben. In his off time, Dan enjoys running, bicycling and cooking and tries to keep up with home repairs on their 1870s-era house.
