Going From Green to Purple: Using Green Roofs As a Stormwater Management Tool

September 10, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

DuPage County Stormwater Management and The Conservation Foundation are offering a free webinar from 1pm to 2pm on September 10th, 2020 called “Going from Green to Purple: Using Green Roofs as a Stormwater Management Tool”.  This  webinar aims to connect like-minded organizations and individuals who are concerned with protecting local streams and rivers.

During the webinar, Dick Bernauer of Sempergreen USA will be presenting on an innovative Purple Roof System that allows buildings to use a green roof as a stormwater detention tank that can detain water from multiple storm events. In addition to purple roof case studies, Dick will be discussing living walls, as well as how these technologies improve water quality. Attendees will learn how the innovative Purple Roof System can handle multiple storm events and still detain water. One Professional Development Hour (PDH) is available.

This program is sponsored in partnership with DuPage County Stormwater Management.
