Trees and Water Sensitive Urban Design

November 12, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

DuPage County Stormwater Management and The Conservation Foundation are offering a free webinar entitled “Trees and Water Sensitive Urban Design.”

Urban trees can be an invaluable asset to cities.  When designed correctly, trees can efficiently and sustainably assist in managing stormwater through the reduction of runoff and the improvement of water quality.  But what are the key factors that must be considered to successfully integrate these beautiful elements into LID schemes?  Our speaker will be Shane Carpani of GreenBlue Urban.

This webinar aims to connect like-minded organizations and individuals who are concerned with protecting local streams and rivers. This presentation will explore the key factors to sustainably reduce stormwater runoff and improve water quality through the effective use of trees. One Professional Hour (PDH) will be offered.
