We need your help with a little magic trick. Together we can turn $7,000 into $28,000 for ecological restoration at our new Dayton Bluffs Preserve!
The Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation has presented us with this most generous offer and challenge: If we can raise $7,000 by the end of September, they will match that amount three-to-one with a $21,000 donation.
Abracadabra – $7,000 becomes $28,000!
I’m personally asking all of our members, friends and all those who love nature and wilderness to help us meet this challenge. Dayton Bluffs is a natural and archaeological gem for the people of Ottawa and our entire region. With a mile of Fox River frontage, steep wooded ravines, Native American burial mounds, and abundant wildlife and native plant species, it’s a slice of true wilderness within an hour or two of everyone who lives in the Chicagoland area.
While cleanup and restoration efforts have already started, there’s a lot of work ahead at the 253-acre preserve to bring its natural communities back into a healthy balance and allow its woodlands and prairies to flourish and nurture plants, animals and human spirits for generations to come.
Will you donate today and give this special place a huge boost toward recovery?

Thank you so much to the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation and to all who choose to support this challenge.
Let’s see if we can make our own magic for a place that holds such magic of its own.
