Join us at McDonald Farm for a delightful day at our annual Fall Market & Music Fest, where we are blending two of our community’s favorite events —Music on the Farm and our annual Green Earth Fall Community Market! Discover all the wonderful things happening on the farm, including a mini-farmers market featuring Green Earth Harvest’s certified organic veggies to an array of local goods from our farmshare partners, including fruit, bread, oats, grains, eggs, milk, meat, mushrooms, juices, and specialty flowers!
Drop in for a bit or spend the afternoon enjoying live music, children’s activities, farm tours, mini-workshops, and plenty of delicious, local food. We can’t wait to see you there!
Our local partners include:
- Hufendick Farm (1:45 — 4:00pm): Locally and humanely raised meats, milk, eggs, and soups
- Flat Tire Farm: Benton Harbor-grown fruits plus apple butter, soaps and coffee
- Sweet Pea’s Stems: Specialty flower bouquets with flowers grown at Green Earth Harvest
- Brian Severson Organics: Certified organic grains, oats, beans, popcorn, and baked goods
- nook & crumb: Naturally-leavened sourdough bread creations
- JL Honeybee Farm: Wildflower honey from the hives at McDonald Farm

Music on the Lawn:
- 1:00 – 4:00pm: Live music by Triple Replay Band, an acoustic guitar and vocal harmony group, bringing you a variety of your favorite tunes from all genres!

Join us to learn the health benefits of eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including helpful tips for making a rainbow of fruits and vegetables a regular part of your plate. Presented by Mary Gardner, RN Outpatient Dietitian, Endeavor Health Edward Hospital.
Get to Know Your Local Farm: Organic Farming Tour

Tour McDonald Farm with farm manager, Russ Cerocke, to learn the ins and outs, the ups and the downs of how we sustainably and organically grow 40+ crops to feed our community clean, delicious produce.
Conservation@Home: How to Incorporate Conservation Efforts in Your Home Yard & Gardens

Every homeowner has issues with water, weeds, rabbits and plants. In this seminar you will learn how using plants native to Illinois can help support the pollinators and birds, address these common issues, and be a beautiful – and colorful – addition to your yard. You’ll also learn how The Conservation Foundation can assist you, including a free yard visit to help you on the journey to a more eco-friendly yard.
Autumn Harvest: Gardening & Composting for a Bountiful Fall
