We are so excited to welcome you to our historic Dickson-Murst Farmstead for this late summer event!
The Conservation Foundation welcomes the community to celebrate 20 years of calling their historic Dickson-Murst Farm home at this year’s 20th Anniversary Day at the Farm event on August 23rd from 9am to 3pm. The Conservation Foundation’s Dickson-Murst Farm in Montgomery is a celebration of our area’s rural heritage and a gathering place for family and friends to make memories. Visitors can get a taste of what farm life was like in bygone days at Day at the Dickson-Murst Farm, organized by the all-volunteer Dickson-Murst Farm Partners.
This FREE event features children’s crafts, activities and play spaces, hayrides, barrel train rides, farm equipment and harvesting demonstrations, face painting, meeting farm animals like Ellie the mini-cow and her baby Toffee, and more. Kids will also be able to drive a tractor again this year and earn their good driver sticker. Then step back in time to watch a set of horses plowing the field and a 1913 Port Huron Steam Engine running our 1909 International Harvestor Separator to thresh the oats. Chill out with a cool treat from Scoop’s Ice Cream Truck, and learn about beekeeping and even purchase a jar of honey to take home from Dave’s Honey of Earlville. The Sandwich Engine Club will also be on hand with their hit and miss engines puttering away, antique trucks and tractors will be on display, and all of the pristinely restored historic farm buildings will be open for exploration.
When you need a break, take a stroll through the several native plant gardens or sit a spell in one of the farm’s signature red rockers while you enjoy tasty vittles from the Country Kitchen.

Free parking is available. Dickson-Murst Farm is at 2550 Dickson Rd. in Montgomery, south of Route 30 and north of Galena Road.
