Public Planting – Illinois
Prairie Pollinator Rain Garden
Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd
9:00am – 4:00pm
Native prairie & pollinator plants will go in the ground, and you can help! Join Kane County Farm Bureau members and the public on Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd to help us improve the quality of our environment. We will be installing a 3,500 square foot, Illinois shaped Prairie Pollinator Rain Garden education and demonstration project along Randall Road in St. Charles.
Volunteers welcome to come for an hour, a morning or afternoon, or all-day. All volunteers will receive pollinator habitat planting guides, a free “Life’s a Garden” t-shirt, refreshments, snacks, lunch, and cold drinks. An on-site cooling station will be available. Feel free to bring along shovels, rakes, garden trowels, and other gardening equipment. Updates will be provided at www.kanecfb.com or on Facebook.
