DuPage County
River Sweep
The annual DuPage County River Sweep is a county-wide self-coordinated stream cleanup held each spring, typically in May. The purpose of the one-day event is to encourage volunteer groups to help “sweep our rivers clean” by picking up debris in and along local waterways.
Oswego, St. Charles, and Yorkville
It's our fox river day
This annual event is held to protect and celebrate the Fox River on the 3rd Saturday of each September, facilitated by Friends of the Fox River. Watershed-wide events and cleanups are held from Waukesha, WI to the Ottawa, IL where the Fox River meets with the Illinois River.
TCF organizes litter cleanup events for ‘It’s Our Fox River Day’ alongside local partners in Oswego, St. Charles, and Yorkville. Additional details for these cleanup events can be found on our events page.
Yorkville
Monthly Clean-Ups
Yorkville Green Connect organizes monthly litter cleanup events at various locations throughout Yorkville from April through October. To join one or all cleanup events, find additional details on our events page.
