Kick off your season of spring and summer family fun at Spring at the Dickson-Murst Farm! This free event features crafts for the kids, hayrides, barrel train rides, and live farm animals to pet while enjoying tasty vittles from the Country Kitchen and frosty treats from an ice cream truck. Antique trucks and tractors will be on display and there will be farm demonstrations, as well as a corn box and play area for your youngsters.
Students from the Newark Chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) will have their farm animals at the event and will be selling hanging baskets and colorful annuals, just in time for Mother’s Day gifts! The Kendall County 4-H clubs will be providing activities for kids of all ages. Local musician, Jason Hubbard, will be there with some great entertainment as well!
This event is sponsored by Byline Bank of Oswego and is made possible by the support of the Dickson-Murst Farm Partners, a volunteer group of The Conservation Foundation, who maintain the farm buildings and organize special events such as this to raise money through donations and food sales.
Free parking is available and the event will go on rain or shine. The Conservation Foundation’s Dickson-Murst Farm is at 2550 Dickson Rd. in Montgomery, south of Route 30 and north of Galena Road.
