It’s time to get outside and enjoy the last weeks of summer. While you’re at it, snap a photo or two with your phone camera and enter our Nature Phone Photography Contest!
Now through September 15th we are accepting submissions of nature photos taken from your phone! We’re looking for pictures of local nature to celebrate the flora and fauna local to Northeastern Illinois. Anything from a native flower or butterfly in your yard to a landscape shot at a nearby forest preserve will do. Get creative with it! Winner will receive a TCF travel mug, water bottle, and hat – the perfect companions to any outdoor adventure!
Entry Period: Friday, August 28th – Tuesday, September 15th
How to Enter: Email your phone photo to [email protected]
What To Include In Your Entry Email:
- Your name
- Where you took the picture – City and State (ex. Naperville, IL)
- Title of your photo (optional)
- Short caption: describe what we are seeing (optional)
- Instagram account handle and/or name on Facebook so we can tag you (optional)
Art is POWERFUL. Your photographs help protect local land and rivers by showing the beauty and wonder of nature close to home. Thank you for supporting our mission through your photography!
Rules:
- Must be shot on a phone camera only. (Any phone is a-okay!) Digital cameras, DSLRs, and other photography-specific devices are not allowed for this contest.
- Must submit a photo that you have shot yourself.
- By submitting your photo, you allow The Conservation Foundation to share your photo on our Facebook and/or Instagram pages. Your photo will only be used in reference to the Phone Nature Photo Contest and you will be credited. (Please indicate in email if you would be alright if we used the photo in other capacities for TCF as well!)
- Judging will be conducted by TCF staff members. We will post the winner on Facebook and Instagram on Friday, September 18th and also notify the winner through email.
- This contest is in no way affiliated with Facebook or Instagram and is being solely run through The Conservation Foundation!
